The goal of our pre-k program is to prepare your preschooler for kindergarten in a supportive fun environment. We achieve this by using a purchased curriculum called DIG Pre-k. This innovative curriculum incorporates Core learning concepts and ongoing assessments to see how much your child is learning each week. Children are assessed using kindergarten readiness indicators. At home activities to further support learning are provided through a parent newsletter. Classroom learning is supplemented by field trips to local museums, parks, and attractions.

Our comprehensive pre-k program is for potty-trained 3.5- to 5-year-olds. Our program is designed to prepare your child for kindergarten through activities that advance exploration, social-emotional learning, cognitive development, creative expression, gross and fine motor skills, early reading and writing skills, and imaginative play in a structured daily routine.
Using a positive learning environment with a focus on children’s individual skills and interests, our program features DIG Pre-k curriculum. Our class schedule includes time for small group learning during circle times, play-based learning centers to practice and learn new skills, indoor and outdoor active play to develop gross and fine motor skills, and rest time for relaxing and resting. Our play-based learning centers give children the opportunity to rotate through different interest centers such as art center, dramatic play, exploration, math and writing, and construction centers. We serve a healthy breakfast with milk, afternoon snack, and a late afternoon snack. Children enjoy a lunch brought from home with their classmates and we provide milk with lunch.

The 700-square foot pre-k classroom has a large open-feel with plenty of natural light and wall-length mirrors to create an environment conducive to learning. The materials and furniture in the classroom are set up into several learning centers with a homey and calming atmosphere. Each child will have their own in-classroom cubby space to keep their belongings.
Pre-k students will have access to a large gross motor room to participate in gross motor activities and games. Our custom-designed outdoor play space encourages interaction with the natural environment and imaginative play. The outdoor area is completely fenced and has a custom-built large wooden playhouse and arch bridge with a gravel and sand box on each side. The area also includes an outdoor kitchen, picnic tables, and large mounted chalkboards. Children take out outdoor toys each day such as jump ropes, balls, and hula hoops.
Our facility is licensed through the Department of Human Resources, and we follow all minimum licensing regulations for childcare centers in Arkansas. Our teachers are carefully selected professionals who undergo criminal and child maltreatment background checks upon employment.
