School's Day Out

Program Structure

For extended school breaks, we offer full-day care for children in K-8th grade. Children do not have to be enrolled in our after-school program to sign-up for school's day out. Typical enrollment is 30-40 children per day.

Children who attend school's day out receive a healthy morning and afternoon snack. Parents send a nutritious sack lunch. Children participate in field trips to local attractions and have access to our intentionally designed classrooms, 2800 sq. ft. gym, and custom-designed outdoor playscape when onsite. Whether on field trips or onsite, children are supervised by several of our teachers. Teachers lead educational and fun lessons related to the seasons and field trips. Children are offered a period of quiet time each day for about an hour. We do not allow the use of electronics because our goal is to help children build friendships and good social skills through face-to-face interactions. We may incorporate a movie into our daily schedule.

Field Trips

For each break, we plan several fun and educational field trips. We view these trips as an extension of classroom learning and a great opportunity to learn through rich, hands-on experiences. Below are some of the places we have visited and will continue to visit. We are always looking for new and exciting attractions!
